Private sessions can be used for:
- developing a personalised home practice.
- gaining comfort and self confidence before joining a group class.
- learning to adapt group class postures to better serve your body.
- increase strength and flexibility.
- reduce stress and anxiety.
- addressing specific concerns such as injury, back pain, weight management, sleep or emotional disturbance etc.
Private sessions are taught on a one-on-one basis,either in your home or an agreed upon space. This allows me to gain a deeper understanding of who you are, to assess your present condition and discuss your goals which will then allow me to plan specifically for your needs.
New: Arrange a private consultation via Skype™ 
If you are interested in a private session but time or distance make this difficult we can arrange a distance session using skype. This is a good option for getting specific questions about your practice answered, for working on designing a custom personal home practice or for follow up sessions after we’ve been working together for a while. Note that this method isn’t ideal for all students’ needs and goals. Please contact me to discuss whether distance sessions are right for you.
Together we develop a personalized home practice that may include some of the following tools:
- breathing excercises
- appropriately sequenced and individualized yoga postures
- meditation
- visualization
- use of sound and mantra
- guided relaxation & yoga nidra
I recommend a 90 minute session for the initial consultation and yoga session to allow time for intake forms and discussion. We can do a shortened version in a 60 minute session with a short yoga practice.
Follow up sessions last 60 minutes.
Initial Consultation includes:
- Intake: Inquiring and assessing student’s health history, current treatments and medications, current physical, mental and emotional condition, and student’s health and wellness goals.
- Yoga Practice: Each practice is tailored to suit your specific needs, capabilities, goals, and life circumstances. I will then teach you this personal practice.
- Take Home: Students will be provided a hand written diagram of the practice to be done at home to take with them. Within the next week students you will recieve a computer drawn copy as a .pdf to be saved and printed as needed. Click for an example.
- Follow-Up Sessions: All throughout this process, you are strongly encouraged to check in with me with any questions, concerns or personal feedback. Depending on your needs, follow up sessions may be necessary in order to revise and update your personal practice. As you change, so must the practice.

Initial 90 minute consultation and yoga practice – £75
Single Private Session 60 min. session – £60
Ongoing Private Instruction – £50/session (4 or more 60 minute sessions booked in advance)
Semi-Private (2 – 3 people) – £120/hr
